Overview
We're looking for Class D Trucker Drivers to run routes on a box truck in New Orleans, LA. Starting pay for Drivers is $150 a day. Starting pay for Helpers is $125 a day. Contact us for more information.
Duties:
- Safely operate Class D trucks (automatic), for local route driving and deliveries
- Loading and unloading truck.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations
- Load, secure, and unload cargo such as freight, equipment, or materials efficiently and carefully
- Follow designated routes accurately while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
- Managing paperwork, delivery documentation, and inventory records
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for Class D vehicle operation with a clean driving record
- Physical ability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment such as hand trucks.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and compliance with transportation regulations
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
