Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS) is seeking two Distribution Design Technicians to work in the South Bend, Indiana area.

Job Summary
The Distribution Design Technician will use DDS software to analyze utility poles for grid modernization projects or line rebuilds related to transmission and station upgrades. You ll track project due dates, collaborate with designers, project managers, and line coordinators, and ensure each design meets safety, quality, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze and design utility pole structures for grid modernization and rebuild projects.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and design teams to ensure project accuracy and timelines.

Apply basic knowledge of electrical, civil, or mechanical systems and utility standards.

Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

Use problem-solving skills to identify design issues and improve processes.

Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Electrical, Electronic, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related work experience in the utility or construction industry preferred.

Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with design or CAD software; knowledge of utility standards and equipment a plus.

Other Requirements:

Valid driver s license required.

Willingness to travel within the I&M service territory (mostly day trips; occasional overnight travel during storm support).
