Job Title: Psychiatric APRN / Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

ITS Holistic Therapy LLC, in partnership with Florida Mindful Kids Inc., offers comprehensive, holistic behavioral-health services for children, adolescents, and families — including mindfulness, yoga, life coaching, PSR and therapeutic support. We seek a motivated Psychiatric APRN to join our team and help deliver high-quality care to at-risk youth in community, school, and clinic settings.
Position Summary:
The Psychiatric APRN will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage psychiatric and behavioral health disorders across the lifespan, with special emphasis on youth and family systems. This position includes medication management, psychotherapy, collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and integration of holistic care modalities. The role supports our mission of prevention, intervention, and resilience building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations (bio-psycho-social) for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Diagnose mental health and substance use disorders, formulate treatment plans, and provide medication management.
- Provide individual, group and family psychotherapy as needed.
- Collaborate with therapists, social workers, case managers, schools, and community agencies to coordinate care.
- Monitor and evaluate client response to treatment, adjust interventions, and document progress.
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements (e.g., progress notes, treatment plans, billing).
- Participate in clinical meetings, supervision, quality improvement initiatives and training activities.
- Promote holistic wellness by integrating mindfulness, lifestyle, and resilience-building strategies into care.
- Participate in crisis assessment and intervention when needed.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or equivalent APRN certification.
- Active and unrestricted APRN license in Florida and certification as a PMHNP (or eligible).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric/behavioral health (preferred youth focus or community-based experience).
- Familiarity with Medicaid/managed care documentation, billing, and compliance.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and cultural-competency skills.
- Comfortable working in both clinic and community/school settings; flexible schedule may include evenings.
- Commitment to holistic, trauma-informed, strengths-based care.
Preferred:
- Experience with at-risk youth, juvenile justice involved clients, foster care or community-based behavioral health services.
- Training in mindfulness, trauma-informed care, youth development, or PSR (Psychosocial Rehabilitation).
- Experience with telehealth platforms.
