What you’ll do
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide clinical counseling and support through individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques such as behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to accurately assess psychological conditions and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security of patient records.
- Engage in case management to coordinate care across various services, including home and community care experiences.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions that foster a supportive environment for sharing and healing among participants.
- Collaborate with social workers and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay informed about aging issues counseling and geriatrics to effectively address the unique needs of older adults.
Basic qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or equivalent certification.
- Preferred qualifications
- Experience in community behavioral health practices.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with medical records management.
- Experience working with at-risk youth and families .
- Integrative approach driven/EMDR and mindfulness training yoga
