Summary
We have an immediate opening for an energetic; Local Field Operations Supervisor
As a Field Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for managing all ITPI Group outside field operations in the local area ensuring the efficient and timely completion of customer fulfillment requests for premise installation and repair. The Field Operations Supervisor also works together with our client’s local leadership to support the completion of customer requests.
Responsibilities
- You will work with the HR department to handle selection, hiring, and career development of all field technicians
- You will help establish and maintain a standard for equipping technicians with tools and training.
- You will work with the inventory manager to ensure the field technicians in your market have everything they need to support their roles.
- You will manage workplace safety and provide safety training to employees as required
- You will manage both the productivity and quality of work down to the individual employee level
- You will assure that all technicians exhibit a ‘customer friendly’ attitude promoting our Client’s commitment “to serve with passion” and deliver an excellent customer experience.
- You will monitor quality control of installation and drop bury work – conducts on-site QC surveys for compliance with our Client specifications.
- You will resolve customer complaints – investigate service and damage complaints and take appropriate action to resolve the complaint. Working with the damages department to ensure customer damages are taken care of.
- You will develop and maintain the schedule of the technicians in your area, ensuring we are able to fulfill the quota daily.
- You will assist with troubleshooting equipment failures and service affecting problems with the technicians.
- You will rapidly respond to any support requests from technicians in the field.
- You will ensure OSHA, NESC, NEC, and Client safety regulations and precautions are followed for all work activities
- May be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the cable and fiber installation industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to problem-solve quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to utilize Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams
- Naturally model respect for others by listening well, encouraging others, and promptly returning phone calls/e-mails
- Ability to keep commitments to customers, suppliers, and other team members
- An orientation to problem solving with facts and drive for common goals and priorities to leverage diversity of opinion.
ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Weekly travel to areas within Market weekly to ensure support of field technicians. (Can include travel up to 8 hours.)
- Provide the leadership, policies, and systems necessary to encourage individual employee performance accountability for the following:
- Manage personal and vehicle safety
- Provide productivity and work quality
- Maintain punctual attendance
