What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse And Distribution Manager position at ITP (International Talent Partnership)?
About the opportunity
We’re partnering with a well-established, growing manufacturer to find a Warehouse & Distribution Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of the operation. You’ll own everything from inbound materials and inventory control through to shipping and delivery, and you’ll have the scope to shape how it’s done.
For the right person this is more than a manager’s job. There’s a genuine path of progression within for someone who delivers.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing end-to-end supply chain, warehouse, inventory and shipping operations
- Keeping inventory accurate, including purchase orders, work orders, ERP transactions and full product traceability
- Running cycle counts and physical inventory controls, with bin and storage location tracking
- Coordinating vendor movements, quality control, customer collections, freight and shipping documentation
- Leading and developing a team of 2–3 supply chain team members, 3–4 shippers and 1–2 truck drivers, and building a culture of accountability and performance
- Improving processes, putting best practice in place and getting the most out of the ERP and other systems
What we’re looking for
- 5–10 years’ experience in warehouse or distribution management, ideally within a manufacturing business (a larger organization is a plus)
- Proven experience with cycle count management, physical inventory controls, bin and location-based inventory management, and freight coordination
- Strong ERP knowledge, ideally Global Shop Solutions, SAP or similar
- A track record of building teams, improving processes and managing complex logistics
- A hands-on leader who can hit the ground running, solve problems independently and deliver measurable improvements
- Master’s Degree and/or Six Sigma experience.
Why apply
- A visible role with real influence in a stable, growing manufacturer
- Room to put your stamp on processes, systems and the team
- A clear route to Director of Operations based on performance
- Competitive salary and benefits package
