What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Sales Manager position at Itoya Topdrawer Corp.?
Topdrawer designs tools for the impossibly creative.
Born in Tokyo, we now operate 16 stunning stores across five major U.S. cities, with a growing direct-to-consumer luxury brand online. We serve a community of creative people with beautifully designed tools for living, traveling, and creating—fountain pens, notebooks, house shoes, small leather goods, sunglasses, bags, and ritual objects.
Our brand combines elevated Japanese design sensibility, European craft influences, and a uniquely personal retail experience that encourages presence, slowness, and intention. With strong in-store storytelling and an expanding digital presence, Topdrawer is evolving into a quiet powerhouse in modern luxury retail.
As Corporate Sales Manager, you will lead Topdrawer’s growing corporate gifting and institutional sales program. You will introduce our refined, design-forward assortment—pens, small leather goods, house shoes, curated creative kits, and custom-branded executive gifts—to corporations, hospitality groups, universities, agencies, and cultural institutions nationwide.
This role blends strategic outreach, relationship management, and elevated presentation. You are both a cultural steward and a revenue driver, securing premium accounts that reflect Topdrawer’s philosophy of quiet design and exceptional craftsmanship. This is an in-office role based in Boston (Brookline, MA).

- Follow up consistently to deepen relationships and grow account value.
- Identify categories and sectors with high potential for corporate sales expansion.
- Partner with Marketing, Product, Retail, and Operations to build corporate-specific bundles, campaigns, and programs.
- Represent Topdrawer at meetings, events, and strategic presentations.
- Provide insights to leadership on trends, opportunities, and product needs.
- An experienced corporate sales professional with 3–7 years of quantifiable success (quota attainment, revenue growth, close rate).
- Skilled at prospecting, pitching, and closing premium or design-forward accounts.
- Refined in communication and presentation, with strong written, verbal, and visual storytelling skills.
- Structured and organized in your sales approach, with CRM proficiency.
- Aesthetically aware and aligned with design-driven, culturally sophisticated brands.
- Curious, self-motivated, and energized by building new programs from the ground up.
Preferred: Experience in luxury goods, design-forward consumer products, hospitality partnerships, or corporate gifting.
