Director, Accouting (VP DMC)

Summary:

Lead the overall strategic financial management of the company, assist the CEO and CAO in setting the direction of Denyo Manufacturing Company. (the “company” or “DMC”). This position is responsible for leading the financial closing and reporting requirements of the company including the external audit process at year-end, Treasury & Finance, Tax, Credit Risk Management. Lead and implement the Internal Control and Governance framework.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Lead and provide oversight over the strategic financial management and planning areas of the company. Assist the CEO and CAO and the Executive management team in providing guidance on new financial strategies, production and cost management strategies and initiatives.
• Lead Accounting and Financial Reporting activities and responsible for reporting the results and analysis of the operations to the Board of directors and shareholders. Research new accounting pronouncements (US GAAP and IFRS) and responsible for providing updates to the Accounting manual, financial closing policies and other related manuals.
• Responsible for overseeing the external audit process to ensure issuance of the audited financial statements under US GAAP in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure that adequate documentation, accounting positions, and workpapers are prepared timely for the external auditors.
• Develop, implement and execute the Internal Control and Governance framework of the company. Establish, monitor, and coordinate the implementation of Accounting systems.
• Responsible for corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion and submission of all corporate income tax provisions and returns.
• Lead and direct the Controller and Accounting team.
  
  

Qualifications

• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)
• 15 years of relevant leadership and professional experience
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication (written & verbal), and analytical skills as well as the ability to manage teams and lead through change

• English: Fluent (spoken and written).
• Japanese: Fluent (spoken and written).
  
  

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Remote work arrangement with required monthly and ad-hoc travel to Danville, KY plant.
• Standard office environment when onsite.
• May require extended hours during month-end closing, audit periods, or emergencies.
  
  

Business Travel

Regular domestic travel (primarily KY) is required.
