Duties
- Greet and welcome guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Upsell additional items to increase sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred, particularly in fine dining or the food industry.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food handling practices is advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
