What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer for ATE position at ITMC Systems, Inc?
5 Years of experience in Electrical Engineer for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) designs, builds, and maintains automated systems to validate electrical components, circuit boards, and finished products. They bridge product design and manufacturing by creating high-speed testing setups, developing test software, and optimizing test processes to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency, using National Instrument Hardware & LabVIEW
Key Responsibilities:
- ATE System Design: Design schematics, layouts, and wiring for industrial electrical control panels and test fixtures.
- Hardware Selection: Research and specify test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, and sensors, National Instrument test modules
- Validation & Debugging: Perform debugging and optimize automated processes to minimize cycle time and maximize uptime
- Test & Optimization: Create test plans, develop algorithms (RF, analog, digital), debug failures, optimize test time, and improve yield for cost-effective, high-quality production.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design, validation, and manufacturing teams to understand requirements and ensure smooth product release.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all test equipment meets safety standards such as UL508A, NFPA79, and OSHA requirements
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Hardware Knowledge: Strong understanding of electronics, circuit design, and instrumentation
- Experience: Hands-on experience in manufacturing, controls, or test engineering
- LabVIEW coding is an added advantage
