Security Receptionist (Full Time)

Overview

ITility is seeking a Security Receptionist to support our team to execute guidance and processes related to safeguarding customer personnel and equipment within the security domain at Ft. Belvoir, VA. This position will serve as the security access point for the customer and will work to enhance the security support capabilities. Qualified candidate will monitor and work to ensure proper security access is maintained at each required location and will perform daily security checks to ensure safety. 

While we will be cognizant of your shift preferences, we reserve the right to change scheduled shift times as determined by your site lead and first line supervisors. You will be assigned a shift between the hours of 6 am - 6 pm ET. Although a rare occurrence, the ability to flex and work additional hours to cover vacancies will be needed and you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek.

Responsibilities

• This position will serve as the security access point for the customer and will work to enhance the security support capabilities.
• Monitor and work to ensure proper security access is maintained at each required location and will perform daily security checks to ensure safety.
• Monitors security access
• Serve as the primary security access point
• Detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors and windows
• Answer alarms and investigate disturbances
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Provide on-site support for Security Management initiatives that ensure the integrity of on-site and remote personnel
• Assists with other ad hoc related projects or assignments as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• This position requires US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
• Excellent communication skills and professional appearance. 
• Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Active or Prior US Government Clearance (Secret) 

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must have the ability to lift 15-25 pounds.
