CUSTODIAN (Part-time)
JOB SUMMARY Travis Hyde Properties is a local property management company that has been serving the Ithaca Community for 45 years. We maintain a friendly family atmosphere in our company. We all work for our tenants and strive to keep them happy. A part-time Custodian performs routine manual tasks in maintaining the cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and appearance of company buildings. This position reports to the Sr. Property Manager.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Sweep, mop and vacuum floors. • Gather and empty trash. • Scrub, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities. • High and low dusting of furniture, walls, and equipment. • Clean windows, mirrors, and partitions. • Follow proper procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. • Shampoo or steam-clean carpets and rugs. • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies. • Notify Property Managers of any visible maintenance issues. • Snow shoveling around the property. • Keep buildings and surrounding property in good order. • Other tasks as assigned.
