Position Title: Food Service Helper- Rover
Brief Description: This work involves the preparing and serving of food in a school cafeteria and the cleaning of the kitchen and dining room area, equipment and utensils. The work must be performed in accordance with all state and local laws and regulations in order to maintain proper sanitary and health conditions. The duties may also involve cashiering and simple record keeping. Employees in this class work under direct supervision. Does related work as required. Hours can vary based on the school's needs. Must be available from 5:00 am - 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday. It is imperative that you be on time and maintain good attendance.

Required Qualifications:

Must be eligible for appointment as a Food Service Helper by Civil Service
Civil Service Requirements:
Working knowledge of sanitary procedures in food preparation and serving; working knowledge of methods and equipment used in large scale preparation and serving of food; working knowledge of proper use of cleaning supplies and dishwashing methods; working knowledge of basic arithmetic; ability to follow simple oral and written instructions; neatness; cleanliness; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
