Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Customs Entry Writer based in Lynnfield, MA. The Customs Entry Writer will be responsible for preparing and processing import/export documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and maintaining accurate records. Daily tasks include data entry, classifying goods according to tariff coding systems, liaising with customs officials and customers, and troubleshooting any clearance issues. The role also involves maintaining communication with clients to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of customs clearance processes, import/export documentation, and tariff coding systems
- Proficiency in with the Cargo Wise Software System with a minimum of 5 years writing customs entries
- Proficiency in data entry, record-keeping, and maintaining clear and accurate documentation
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, customs officials, and team members
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve shipment clearance issues
- Attention to detail to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with customs software systems and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred not mandatory
- Ability to work in a fast-paced on-site environment with strict deadlines
