The groundman is an active, hands on position that supports the day to day activities within an aerial telecom construction crew.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for participating in job site and crew safety and must exhibit and uphold ITG’s safety values
- Must be able to understand and take direction from Aerial Telecom Lineman and Foreman, supporting the Aerial Telecom construction work flows in field operations.
- Participate in the aerial telecom construction work flows that are required on the ground level, but also be able to work at strand-level elevation from a bucket truck if needed.
- Responsible for safe operation of all aerial bucket trucks and equipment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years experience working on an aerial telecom construction crew
- A working knowledge of telecommunications aerial construction including make ready requirements, strand placement, cable placement, lashing, over-lashing, guying and other aerial telecom construction work flows.
- Strong work ethic and desire to be a leader
- Must be a clear and effective communicator and have a positive attitude
- The ability to take direction from aerial construction crew management
- Valid US Driver's License
- Able to work in a fast-paced, outside environment
- The ability to work safely, with or without supervision
- Ability to operate equipment, including, but not limited to aerial bucket truck, lashing equipment, and other equipment
- OSHA 10/30
- CDL preferred
