Traffic Signal Product Support [NorCal]

Iteris is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Traffic Signal Product Support to deliver exceptional field service for Iteris solutions, including advanced detection and ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technology, providing vital training, troubleshooting, and programming support. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver committed to excellence in customer service and technical expertise.

What you will be doing:

• Deliver top-tier support and post-sale services to exceed client expectations
• Provide comprehensive on-site, and phone-based troubleshooting, system turn-on, and support of Iteris detection and signal-related ITS devices
• Execute installation, maintenance, and repair services for Iteris equipment under maintenance/service contracts, emphasizing responsiveness and accountability
• Uphold high safety standards while working in and around roadways, including proficiency in the use of bucket trucks
• Foster strong client relationships by delivering professional, timely, and effective technical solutions
• Regularly travel (up to 50% overnight) to ensure optimal on-site project support

What you need to be successful in this role:

• IMSA Level I Certification (or the ability to obtain) required
• IMSA Work Zone Safety certification highly preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of field-based technical support experience with traffic signal – ITS equipment (e.g., cabinets, controllers, detection systems)
• Proven track record working with ITS equipment, whether for a manufacturer or in a municipal/contractor role
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional service, professionalism, and effective communication in high-stakes environments
• Self-motivated, team-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential
• Must hold an acceptable driving record and be able to travel extensively

Iteris anticipates paying a base salary between $95,000 and $105,000 for this role, in addition to $1,200 in quarterly commissions. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
