Job Description / Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Vertica database solutions for high-performance analytics.
- Optimize database performance, including query tuning, resource management, and workload balancing.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, such as access control, encryption, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot database issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support cloud migration (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
- Perform capacity planning and scalability assessments for Vertica clusters.
- Document database architectures, configurations, and operational processes.
- Stay updated with new Vertica features, cloud technologies, and industry security standards.
