Description:
Role Descriptions: SAP Tax and statutory roles involve configuring| managing| and ensuring compliance of tax processes within SAP systems| integrating statutory reporting| and supporting finance and IT teams.
Core Responsibilities
SAP Tax Configuration and Support: Configure| test| and maintain SAP tax functionalities across modules such as FI| MM| SD| and AR to ensure accurate tax determination and calculation.
This includes managing tax codes| tax procedures| withholding taxes| and integration with indirect tax engines or tax technology platforms.
Statutory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and international tax regulations| including VAT| GST| SAF-T| e-invoicing| and other statutory reporting requirements. Implement country-specific formats| reporting rules| and compliance standards within SAP.
Process Integration and Improvement: Integrate tax compliance processes with core financial operations such as Accounts Payable (AP)| Accounts Receivable (AR)| Billing| and General Ledger (GL).
Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency| accuracy| and automation of tax-related workflows.
Data Accuracy and Reporting: Maintain high standards of data integrity through audits| reconciliations| and validation of tax-related transactions.
Support tax reporting| statutory filings| and ensure SAP configurations reflect regulatory updates.
Collaboration and Issue Resolution: Work closely with finance| accounting| IT| and external tax advisors to align SAP tax processes with business needs.
Act as a subject matter expert to troubleshoot system errors and provide timely solutions.
Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and provide guidance to end-users on SAP tax functionalities| best practices| and statutory compliance procedures
Education: At least a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
