About the Role
We are seeking an Experienced Server Technician to join our Ashburn, VA data center team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with server installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a professional data center environment. This part-time position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to contribute to operations in one of the nation’s leading data center regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers.
- Perform hardware diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades.
- Support rack and stack operations, cabling, and labeling.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, hardware, and power issues.
- Maintain accurate logs, inventory, and documentation.
- Work closely with the data center team to ensure high availability and reliability.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English (required).
- 2 years of experience as a Server or Data Center Technician.
- Proficient with Windows and/or Linux Server environments.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (switches, VLANs, IP addressing).
- Physically capable of handling equipment and racking tasks (up to 50 lbs).
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual in English and Ukrainian (highly sought after, but not required).
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.
- Familiarity with remote monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Understanding of data center security and access control procedures.
Schedule
- Part-time: 15–25 hours per week (flexible schedule).
- Occasional weekend or after-hours maintenance may be required.
