Position Overview
The PowerFlex Resident Engineer provides hybrid (on-site and remote) operational support for Dell PowerFlex environments, ensuring infrastructure stability, performance optimization, and lifecycle management. This role serves as a trusted technical advisor, supporting day-to-day operations across storage and virtualization platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor PowerFlex infrastructure to maintain system health, performance, and availability.
- Perform VMware vSphere administration, including VM lifecycle management, permissions, and cluster support.
- Support PowerFlex Manager operations, workflows, and configuration management.
- Troubleshoot and remediate infrastructure issues; provide performance optimization recommendations.
- Provide guidance on replication, backup, and recovery best practices.
- Support lifecycle activities including patching, upgrades, firmware updates, and infrastructure expansion.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Dell PowerFlex and VMware vSphere.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise storage and virtualization environments.
- Familiarity with patching, upgrades, and data protection processes.
