Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Telemetry Platform Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise telemetry and observability solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Netscout nGeniusOne, Kafka, Splunk/ELK, SNMP, Python, and AIOps, with experience building scalable telemetry architectures and supporting mission-critical production environments.
Must Have Skills
- 7 years of experience in Telemetry, Monitoring, or Observability Engineering
- Strong experience with Netscout nGeniusOne
- Expertise in SNMP Traps, SNMP Polling, EMS, and NMS
- Strong understanding of telemetry architecture and end-to-end data flows
- Experience with Apache Kafka and streaming data pipelines
- Hands-on experience creating optimized Splunk/ELK searches, dashboards, alerts, and reports
- Experience onboarding new services and business verticals into Netscout
- Strong troubleshooting and production support experience
- Ability to convert telemetry data into actionable monitoring and alerting solutions
- Working knowledge of AIOps/MLOps
- Experience with SQL and Time-Series Databases
- Python scripting and automation
Key Responsibilities
- Design and evolve enterprise telemetry architecture, including SNMP traps, polling, EMS/NMS integration, telemetry data models, and end-to-end data flows.
- Build, manage, and optimize Kafka streaming pipelines and time-series data platforms.
- Develop and maintain Splunk/ELK dashboards, searches, alerts, and correlation logic for real-time monitoring.
- Lead production troubleshooting activities and collaborate with Operations and SRE teams to resolve incidents.
- Onboard new applications, platforms, and business services into Netscout.
- Improve observability through AIOps/MLOps initiatives such as anomaly detection, noise reduction, and automated remediation.
- Develop Python automation scripts to streamline monitoring and operational processes.
- Ensure telemetry platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SRE, DevOps, or Enterprise Monitoring
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
