We are looking for IT Technician for one day activity at our client's site in La Jolla, 92037, California.
Schedule date: 9th June, at 9AM
Scope of Work: Scope of Work:
A section of the office lost Ethernet connectivity following a recent switch upgrade. The technician will work to diagnose and restore network connections.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot Ethernet connectivity issues at the network switch and user workstations
- Disconnect and reconnect network cables as required
- Test Ethernet cabling and verify connectivity
- Tone and trace network ports to identify and validate desk-side connections
- Assist with locating, labeling, and verifying network connections
- Provide updates, photos, and documentation of work performed
Estimated Quantity of Devices/Connections:
- Approximately 11–20 network connections to be tested and verified
Required Tools & Equipment:
- Laptop
- Reliable Internet Connection
- Government-Issued Photo ID
- Network Toner/Probe Kit
- Ethernet Cable Tester
Requirements:
- Experience with network troubleshooting and structured cabling
- Familiarity with switch environments and Ethernet connectivity testing
- Ability to follow remote guidance from network engineers
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Pay: $25.91 - $35.00 per hour
