Job Description:

As a member of our facilities team, the Porter at Itasca Country Club is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the club’s interior and exterior spaces to ensure a welcoming environment for members and guests. Key duties include performing cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and polishing in public areas, dining rooms, banquet spaces, restrooms, and outdoor areas. The Day Porter also supports event setup and breakdown, assists with moving furniture and equipment, and helps maintain club grounds and entryways.

Requirements:

· Physical Ability: Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physically demanding tasks such as moving furniture, equipment, and event materials.

· Attention to Detail: Strong focus on maintaining high cleanliness and presentation standards across all indoor and outdoor club areas.

· Reliability: Consistent punctuality and dependability in completing assigned tasks and shifts.

· Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other club staff to support daily operations and events.

· Customer Service Skills: Polite and professional demeanor when interacting with members and guests.

· Time Management: Efficiently prioritize and complete tasks within designated timeframes to meet club needs.

· Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, based on club events and schedules.

· Basic Cleaning Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning techniques, equipment, and safe use of cleaning chemicals.

· Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions from supervisors and respond to guest requests promptly.

· Professionalism: Maintain a neat appearance and adhere to the club’s standards of conduct and uniform policies.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
