General Summary
The Returns Coordinator is responsible for administering the returns process. This includes initiating return authorizations, working with cross-functional groups to ensure returns are processed accurately, and investigating the reason for returns.
Essential Job Functions
- Strong understanding of Inventory reconciliation
- Strong understanding of RMA/returns process
- Tracking supplier credits
- Reallocating non-damaged goods
- Assessing material return guidelines/ process improvement
- Review shipping dates and cancel or make approved revisions
- Interface with suppliers, expeditors, multiple locations
- Willing to research product history and product locations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must possess a good working knowledge and in MS Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Oracle JD Edwards familiarity a plus
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize/handle multiple projects
- Requires above average organizational and prior data entry skills/experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong negotiating skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field
- 2-3 years of practical inventory and/or purchasing experience a plus.
Other Requirements
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to operate a computer keyboard
- The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary
- Travel required: negligible
