Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and grills safely and efficiently
- Ensure all food handling and preparation procedures meet strict food safety sanitizing standards
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza styles or toppings based on customer preferences and current trends
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace throughout your shift
- Follow food production guidelines to ensure consistency, quality, and timely service during high-volume periods
- Support dietary department protocols by adhering to dietary restrictions and special meal requests when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, especially with pizza or similar dishes
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques such as braising, poaching (culinary), grilling, and meal preparation
- Knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely in a fast-paced environment with high-volume production demands
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering experience is highly desirable
- Excellent food service skills with a focus on quality control and presentation standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and teamwork spirit
