What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Staff position at Italian Oven?
Job Summary
Looking for someone with some kitchen experience. Will train to prepare & make salads in the kitchen, as well as prepare desserts, learn other stations in the kitchen.
You will support food preparation, ensure food safety standards, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling ingredients, and following recipes to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent guest service
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold high standards of food handling and hygiene
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and food safety standards is advantageous
- Prior kitchen or culinary experience
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and hospitality operations enhances your fit for this role
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
