Duties
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including personal vehicles, box trucks, or commercial trucks, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load and unload food orders using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary.
- Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to maximize speed and accuracy while maintaining safety.
- Deliver orders directly to customers’ doors, ensuring food quality and presentation are maintained during transit.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging politely with customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items during loading and unloading processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of delivery vehicles and equipment at all times.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or courier services is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a strong work ethic!
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is a plus.
- Ability to operate box trucks, commercial trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and adherence to DOT regulations for commercial vehicle operation.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly during shifts.
- Excellent navigation skills using mobile devices or route driving tools to ensure timely deliveries.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional appearance.
