Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Counter Help to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with food preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Duties
- Greet and assist customers with their orders in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, dining space, and kitchen equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including giving change and processing payments.
- Assist in bussing tables and maintaining a tidy dining environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders.
- Provide support during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurant environments is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary experience is a plus.
- Proficient in operating POS systems such as Aloha or Micros for efficient transaction processing.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math applications.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation, and safety regulations within the food industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
