About the Role
We’re hiring a Behavioral Health Intake & Referral Coordinator to be the organized, compassionate point person who makes sure no family falls through the cracks. You’ll have direct contact with clients and referral sources by phone and email, but you won’t be doing bedside care or crisis floor shifts.
This role is a great fit if you:
Have experience as a behavioral health tech, psych hospital staff, or experience in a behavioral health setting
Still care deeply about mental health, but want predictable daytime hours
Enjoy being on the phone, following up, and keeping details straight
What you’ll do (about 80% intake & referrals)
Answer calls and emails from families and referral sources
Gather and enter referral information accurately
Route referrals to the right program / clinician
Track each case from first contact to scheduled intake
Keep logs, paperwork, and basic data up to date
Outreach & relationship support (about 20%)
Make friendly check‑in calls to referral partners and community organizations
Share basic information about our programs and current availability
Log outreach and follow‑ups so we stay top‑of‑mind
Schedule, Pay & Location
Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 10 am–6 pm
Pay: $16.50–$18.00 per hour, based on experience
On‑site at our Voorhees Office
What we’re looking for
1 year in behavioral health, medical office, or human services admin
Comfortable on the phone and following up
Strong organization and attention to detail
Able to manage several referrals at once without dropping balls
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree a plus
