Entry Level Computer Technician ITAD

ITAD Technologies is looking for a full-time Laptop/ Desktop Hardware Technician

Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring that asset inventory, data destruction, and related tasks are executed effectively and efficiently and performing these tasks individually and with other ITAD department personnel. The tasks must be performed securely, accurately, and in a timely manner to meet internal controls and customer expectations. Data destruction in particular carries significant privacy, liability and other risks for the company and its customers.

Responsibilities Include:

• Accurately capture and upload all relevant device information into Itad’s inventory management system. This includes; finding the serial number and the manufacturer on a computer, possibly removing hardware.
• Data wiping to ensure the client's equipment is wiped clean using various erasure solutions.
• Audit assets based physical condition, internal components, etc.
• Prioritize workloads accordingly according to deadlines and due dates between each of Itad’s customers.
• Adhere to strict data sanitization and destruction procedures & regulations when processing data-bearing assets.
• Maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of the department
• Preserve technical skills through participation and ongoing training

Requirements:

* Ability to pass background check.

* Must be Reliable, self-motivated/initiative, strong work ethic, willingness to learn and grow, work both independently and an effective member of the team.
* Very strong attention to detail, organization and cleanliness.
* Must be able to lift a min of 60lbs.

* Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

* Experience in IT product handling for items such as memory DIMMS, hard drive disks, central processing units, etc.

8:00-4:30
