What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Market Analyst position at ITA - Italian Trade Agency Houston?
The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) – Houston Office is seeking n. 1 full-time Junior Trade Analyst (M1).
The ideal candidate will support the promotional activities of the ITA Houston Office, with responsibilities including:
Key Tasks- Organization of promotional activities such as trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, business trips, and advertising campaigns
- Market analysis, research projects, data collection and processing, as well as preparation of reports and presentations
- Social media communication and digital marketing; management of relationships with media and PR agencies; regular updates of the ITA website with news and relevant information
- Implementation of both basic and customized assistance services for Italian companies aiming to establish and/or strengthen business relationships with U.S. companies, and vice versa
- Identification and negotiation with potential U.S. partners (importers, agents, suppliers, etc.) for Italian counterparts, as well as database management and updates
- Administrative tasks and accounting reporting
- Permanent residency (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder). ITA does not sponsor work visas
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferential Requirements- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Economics, International Relations, Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, and/or other relevant fields (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Fluent in Italian
- Experience working with governments or public institutions, either internationally or in the U.S.
- Previous experience in marketing, event organization, and communication
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Professional knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook) and marketplaces
- Strong multitasking abilities
- One or more qualified references from previous employers
- Experience using social media for professional purposes and/or working with CRM software

Salary and Compensation- Monthly gross salary: $4,500.00 (before taxes and other applicable deductions)
- Additional one-month salary equivalent (13th salary), for a total annual compensation of $58,500.00
- Yearly performance-based bonus, subject to availability of funds
- Full-time position
- 40 hours per week
- Working hours: 8:30/9:00 a.m. – 4:30/5:00 p.m. (Monday–Friday)
- Includes a 1-hour lunch break

a) Multiple Choice Section (up to 25 points – 20 minutes)

- ITA activities
b) Translation Test (ITA ↔ ENG) (up to 25 points – 30 minutes)

2. Practical Test (up to 20 points – 15 minutes)- Focus on IT skills

The position will be offered to the top-ranked candidate, unless:
