ITA is seeking a Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) to join the team at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
Responsibilities
The GSSO will offer guidance and support to the 350th Spectrum Warfare Group (SWG) Detachment 1, specifically handling day-to-day Special Access Program (SAP) security management for classified activities. This includes hands-on management of the unit's security requirements. This role operates in a fast-paced, highly technical environment, necessitating a strong work ethic and a comprehensive background in managing physical and personnel security for Special Access Program Facilities (SAPF) and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF).
Functional Areas of Responsibility:
- Executing overall SAP security administration / management duties outlined in the DoDM 5205.07 series.
- Evaluate all assigned duties for applicability to ARENA tool integration and extension of 350th SWW operationalized data picture.
- Integrate data metrics from all applicable assigned duties into 350th SWW operationalized data picture.
- Planning the stand up of SAPF/ SCIF facilities and administering or supporting the accreditation process.
- Conducting self-inspections/reviews, staff assistance visits, and serving as the unit’s principal security adviser for matters related to personnel and program security, and SAP / SCIF access.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive SAPF / SCIF security standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Identifying, reporting, and documenting security incidents in accordance with DoD, and service regulations / instructions for collateral requirements.
- Providing overall SAP security administration and management and performing duties outlined in the DODM 5205.07 series.
- Serving as the unit’s primary security focal point within assigned SAPF / SCIF.
- Perform Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) duties, if appointed.
- Reviewing system security plans (SSP) and other unit security documents.
- Drafting, staffing, and tracking SAP Nomination Process (SAPNP) packages.
- In-briefing / debriefing personnel working in assigned SAPF / SCIF.
- Maintaining personnel security folders on all accessed individuals.
- Maintaining facility / physical security accreditations each assigned SAPF / SCIF.
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience executing overall SAP security administration / management duties outlined in the DoDM 5205.07 series.
- Required Clearance:
- Active/valid DoD Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to obtain, and be able to maintain, an active/valid DoD TS/SCI-eligible clearance (i.e., DCID 6/4 eligibility).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical experience serving as the primary security focal point within a SAPF / SCIF.
- Practical experience serving as the senior SAPF / SCIF security adviser to unit leadership.
- Formal SAP and/or SAPF training and/or Security Professional Education Development (SPED) Certification is highly desired.
- Experience as a Top-Secret Control Officer.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs)
- Practical experience with SAPF- / SCIF-related physical and personnel security.
- Practical experience in the planning and stand-up of SCIFs / SAPFs and the required accreditation process.
- Practical experience identifying, reporting, and documenting security incidents in accordance with Intel Community, DoD, and service regulations / instructions for collateral requirements.
- Practical experience drafting, staffing, and tracking Special Access Program (SAP) Nomination Process (SAPNP) packages.
- Practical experience maintaining facility / physical security accreditations for each assigned SAPF / SCIF.
- Practical experience conducting initial and annual security training for assigned personnel, annual self-inspections / reviews, and staff assistance visits.
- Practical experience establishing and maintaining personnel security folders on all individuals.
- Practical experience in-briefing / debriefing personnel working in assigned SAPF / SCIF.
- Practical experience developing and maintaining comprehensive SAPF / SCIF security standard operating procedures.
- Practical experience reviewing system security plans and other unit security documents.
