What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive position at ITA Group?
Account Executive (Sales) – Event Marketing
Full-Time | Eastern U.S. (New Jersey, Boston Philadelphia, and New York preferred)
POSITION OVERVIEW
At ITA Group, we create live, virtual and hybrid event experiences that help brands connect with the people who matter most to their business. Our Event Marketing capabilities span strategy through execution, including large corporate events, conferences, brand activations, production, sourcing, travel, registration and on-site experiences.
We’re looking for an Account Executive to grow our Event Marketing business in the East Region. This opportunity is ideal for a strategic, relationship-driven sales professional who understands the events industry and knows how to turn client challenges and business objectives into compelling event solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Develop and grow new business opportunities within the East Region, with an emphasis on Event Marketing solutions
Build and manage a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting, relationship development, networking and strategic territory planning
Lead consultative conversations with clients to understand their business objectives, audiences, challenges and measures of success
Partner with clients to identify opportunities to elevate, evolve and improve their events, rather than simply responding to an established scope
Build relationships with senior and executive-level decision-makers and become a trusted strategic partner
Collaborate with internal strategy, creative, production and event teams to develop tailored solutions for prospective clients
Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes from initial prospecting and discovery through solution development, proposal, negotiation and close
Maintain a strategic view of your territory, identifying priority accounts and developing long-term opportunities
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5 years of demonstrated sales or business development experience within the corporate meetings, events, experiential marketing, tradeshow, sponsorship or related agency ecosystem
A proven hunter mentality with the ability to generate your own pipeline and develop net-new client relationships
Strong presentation skills with the ability to lead round table discussions and build business cases for $1M investments
Active market presence (e.g., attending and acting as an expert at conferences, leading breakouts, speaking engagements, panel discussions, industry associations, social selling)
Strong understanding of the events landscape and how organizations use events to achieve broader business, brand and audience objectives
Ability to move beyond event execution and engage clients in strategic conversations about program effectiveness, improvement and ROI
Experience developing relationships with executive-level buyers and navigating complex enterprise organizations
Strong executive presence, curiosity and ability to ask thoughtful questions that uncover needs and opportunities
A track record of measurable sales performance and new-business development
Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary internal teams
A relationship-driven approach that earns credibility and establishes you as a trusted client partner
Willingness to travel as needed
