IT Veterans is looking for a Network Engineer IV to support our mission-driven team. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in advanced network engineering, system design, and requirements analysis, particularly in a DoD or Intelligence Community environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design, document, and implement system specifications, network architectures, and integration/test strategies.

Contribute to risk assessment efforts and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Uphold quality assurance standards and ensure service performance goals are consistently achieved.

Analyze and evaluate mission-related change requests (RFCs/CRQs), providing technical recommendations and cost assessments.

Support full lifecycle telecommunications efforts, from concept through design, implementation, and performance analysis.

Translate customer CRQs into engineered network solutions and oversee their implementation.

Serve as a technical lead for assigned initiatives, providing subject matter expertise and guidance to stakeholders.

Review and provide input on new action items and coordinate issue resolution with appropriate teams.

Apply structured methods to gather, analyze, and validate requirements through interviews, document reviews, workflow analysis, and site visits.

Create requirement specifications and models (e.g., diagrams) that meet established standards and ensure completeness, consistency, and clarity.

Maintain traceability of requirements across project phases and track their status through review cycles.

Identify requirement gaps or errors and develop formal response statements for resolution.

Support network monitoring, traffic analysis, and bandwidth optimization efforts to meet performance and availability objectives.

Research emerging network and communications technologies to recommend improvements for scalability, reliability, and standardization.

Prepare and maintain detailed network architecture diagrams.

Ensure all engineering efforts comply with security policies, processes, and government regulations.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field; in lieu of a degree, four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted.

At least eight (8) years of professional experience in network engineering or a related field.

Active DoD 8570 IAT II and CCNP (or equivalent) certifications.

Proven experience within a DoD and/or Intelligence Community environment is highly desired.

Current TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph.
