Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Floater/Closer to join our early childhood education team. In this versatile role, you will provide flexible classroom support, ensure smooth transitions between activities, and assist with closing responsibilities to maintain a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work across various classrooms, support staff, and foster positive developmental experiences for children. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to promoting early childhood growth through attentive caregiving and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers by assisting with child supervision, activity setup, and cleanup to ensure a seamless daily routine.
• Step into different classrooms as needed to provide consistent care and supervision for children across age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
• Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum activities focused on childhood development, social skills, and early learning goals.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols such as pediatric first aid and CPR when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's day-to-day experiences, milestones, and any concerns that may arise.
• Support behavior management strategies to foster positive interactions among children and promote classroom harmony.
• Help with daily administrative tasks such as attendance tracking, incident reporting, and maintaining cleanliness of the classroom environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or babysitting roles is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
• Certification in first aid and CPR (pediatric first aid certification is a plus).
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also demonstrating independent initiative.
• Strong communication skills for parent interactions and team collaboration.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is advantageous.
• Classroom management skills combined with patience, flexibility, and enthusiasm for nurturing young learners.
