PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CURRENT REYNOLDS STUDENTS, STUDENTS ENROLLED IN OR HAVE SUCCESSFULLY PARTICIPATED IN THE STUDENT TECHNOLOGY APPRENTICESHIP AT REYNOLDS PROGRAM (STAR), RECENT REYNOLDS GRADUATES.
Job Summary: Provide support for the Reynolds School District technology environment. The position is considered entry-level and an opportunity for applicants to explore a career in Information Technology. The position will require basic knowledge of macOS, iPadOs, ChromeOS, and Windows. The period of employment is listed below.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist with the provisioning of devices in preparation for distribution
- Maintain inventory system by entering, editing and removing records
- Assist with the repair of broken devices
- Assist with installing network switches in racks, wireless access points, and other network equipment
- Assist with wire management tasks
- Transport various items (e.g. tools, devices, and equipment) as directed to job sites
- Maintenance of building technology equipment
Other Job Functions:
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Bicultural/Bilingual strongly preferred
Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
- Customer service
- Basic knowledge of MacOS, iPadOS, ChromeOS and Windows operating systems
- Knowledge / basic proficiency of MS Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relationships with others
- Ability to travel between school sites and locations with Technology Department team member (Driver’s License not required)
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions given by supervisor
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks
- Ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding information related to district operations
Education and Training Required: Some experience with computers or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job will be considered.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Oregon Fingerprinting and Criminal Background Check clearance
Schedule:
- Session 1: July 6–16 (Monday–Thursday)
- Session 2: July 20–30 (Monday–Thursday)
