What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT/OT Specialist position at iT Services 2 (iT2)?
iT2 is seeking an IT/OT Technical Specialist for one of our clients in New Orleans, Louisiana (must reside close to the New Orleans area). This is a long-term contract position to be worked onsite in a manufacturing facility. Client is unable to sponsor at this time, so only US citizens or Green Card holders will be eligible. (Unable to work with 3rd parties.)
Responsibilities
- Specify, design, and implement IT and OT solutions, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing systems.
- Proficiency in IT and OT technologies, including network administration, cybersecurity, and industrial automation.
- Maintain and troubleshoot IT and OT infrastructure, including hardware, networks, and communication systems.
- Identifying and resolving issues related to IT and OT systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Implementing and maintaining security measures for both IT and OT environments, protecting against cyber threats.
- Familiarity with industrial settings, including safety protocols and operational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SCADA systems, PLC connectivity, or implementation of industrial automation solutions will be highly valued.
