Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to lead our retail operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily store activities, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth. Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff

- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation
- Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, and daily financial reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, training & development programs, and team meetings
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Coordinate purchasing activities and manage vendor relationships for inventory procurement
- Execute marketing initiatives to promote store products
- Manage scheduling shifts to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for effective communication with diverse customers and staff
- Proficiency in payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management, POS systems, and retail math
- Experience in sales management, pricing strategies, merchandising, stocking, and marketing techniques
- Excellent communication skills with phone etiquette and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Knowledge of budgeting, cash handling procedures, and administrative tasks related to retail management
- Prior experience as an assistant manager or in shift management is highly desirable
- Strong time management skills with the ability to oversee store operations efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
