Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for an Insurance Processor/Assistant Underwriter based in Okemos, MI. In this role, the individual will assist in evaluating, processing, and managing insurance applications, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Responsibilities include preparing policy quotes, managing client communications, maintaining records, following up on policy status, and providing support to underwriters in assessing risks and policy endorsements. Additional tasks may include handling administrative duties to support the efficient operation of the office.

- Strong skills in data entry, document management, and record organization
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness in policy processing
- Proficiency in communication skills for engaging with clients and team members
- Analytical and critical thinking skills for assessing insurance policies and risks
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel, Word, and insurance management software
- Adaptability and a collaborative attitude for working in a team-focused environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is a plus
- Previous experience in insurance processing, underwriting assistance, or a related role preferred
