Network & Systems Security Analyst II

Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite)

Compensation: $60/hour

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network & Systems Security Analyst II to support and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments. This role requires hands-on experience with Windows Servers, VMware, Cisco networking, firewalls, storage systems, and SolarWinds ITSM administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and experience leading small infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement network, server, and storage infrastructure based on project requirements, capacity planning, and operational needs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve server, network, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain server and network hardware and software in accordance with company security standards.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues using structured methodologies, including the OSI model.
• Escalate complex technical issues and coordinate equipment repairs as needed.
• Lead and support small-scale infrastructure projects from design through implementation.
• Provide technical consulting and recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
• Mentor and cross-train junior team members, including Level I Network & Systems Security Analysts.
• Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise systems and networks.

Required Qualifications

Certifications

Must possess at least:

• One Associate-Level Certification, and
• One Senior-Level Certification

Examples include:

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA)
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• GIAC Certification(s)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Experience

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience implementing and supporting:Windows Server environments
• VMware infrastructure
• Firewall technologies
• Storage Area Networks (SAN)
• Cisco networking
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting infrastructure projects and operational initiatives.

SolarWinds ITSM (Required)

• Administrator-level experience with SolarWinds ITSM.
• Experience configuring, managing, maintaining, and supporting the platform.
• Ability to provide system-level administration and support, not just monitoring or end-user utilization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related IT discipline.

• MCSA
