Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily nursing care for students and staff
- Assess and manage student health concerns
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate with parents, physicians, and school personnel regarding student health needs
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as needed
- Maintain confidential student health records
- Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations
- Provide nursing support during field trips and school-related activities when required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license meeting the State of Delaware School Nurse requirements
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience required (3 years preferred)
- Pediatric or School Nursing experience is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic proficiency with electronic documentation and Microsoft Office applications
