Role Overview
Design and develop distributed generation and microgrid power solutions for industrial, utility, commercial, and data center customers. Work directly with customers to create reliable, cost-effective, and deployable power infrastructure solutions from concept through project handoff.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop distributed generation and microgrid solutions.
- Lead customer discussions to understand technical requirements, reliability goals, and site constraints.
- Design medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, including single-line diagrams and system layouts.
- Evaluate load requirements, generation sizing, reliability targets, and future expansion needs.
- Collaborate with engineering, EPC, product, and commercial teams to deliver executable solutions.
- Prepare technical proposals, presentations, and project documentation.
- Conduct site visits and assess field conditions.
- Analyze trade-offs between cost, schedule, reliability, and constructability.
- Support project transition from proposal stage to execution.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 2 years of experience in power systems, distributed generation, microgrids, utility infrastructure, or related fields.
- Experience with electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Knowledge of load flow, short circuit, protection, and reliability studies.
- Proficiency with tools such as ETAP, PSCAD, PSS/E, MATLAB/Simulink, AutoCAD, or similar.
- Understanding of utility interconnection, switchgear, protection systems, generators, DERs, and microgrid architectures.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
