Title: Marketing Program Manager- Banking
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Location/Schedule: 4 days on-site, 1 remote | Morristown, NJ (some flexibility to work from NY-area offices)

A well-established financial institution is reaching a major milestone in its history. It’s taking on large growth and transformation initiatives, and its Marketing organization is central to that work. We’re looking for a highly organized, executive-facing Marketing Program Manager to work directly with the Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer and the marketing leadership team.

You’ll be at the center of the organization’s operating rhythm. You’ll turn leaders’ strategic agendas into coordinated action, keep teams aligned across silos, and shape the work into clear, compelling stories for executives. This role suits someone who is organized, persuasive in how they communicate, and comfortable acting as the “quarterback” across many stakeholders.

Cross-functional program leadership

• Lead strategic initiatives that span several marketing teams, and sometimes teams outside marketing, so insights are shared and work doesn’t happen in silos.
• Support high-visibility priorities, including:
  • a multi-channel brand anniversary campaign across all markets
  • marketing work streams tied to recent acquisitions
  • annual goal-setting and strategy planning
• Track milestones, deliverables and performance, and keep stakeholders informed and accountable.

Executive storytelling

• Pull the key themes, progress and impact from across the marketing portfolio into executive-ready PowerPoint presentations.
• Build presentations that tell a cohesive story, not just status trackers, for senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Consolidate performance results and feedback into clear insights and recommendations.

Operating rhythm and leadership support

• Own the marketing leadership team’s operating cadence: leadership meetings, all-hands and planning sessions.
• Prepare agendas and materials, run meetings smoothly, capture notes and decisions, and follow up on action items until they’re done.
• Organize leaders’ inputs into structured frameworks that support decisions.

Program documentation

• Create and maintain project plans, trackers, roadmaps and other documentation that make the work visible and repeatable.

Must-haves

• 3–5 years of experience in project management, marketing strategy, chief of staff or similar roles, with consistent delivery results.
• A track record of working directly with executive leaders and helping them bring structure to ambiguous priorities.
• Exceptional organization: structured, detail-oriented, and able to see both the big picture and the details.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with high emotional intelligence. You can work across personalities and bring clarity to complex situations.
• Advanced PowerPoint and storytelling skills, with examples of executive-level presentations.
• Experience acting as the “quarterback” on cross-functional initiatives: coordinating the work, strengthening the story and reporting on impact.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience at a well-known, reputable brand, ideally in marketing.
• Financial services or banking experience.
• Background in product marketing or building integrated, multi-channel marketing plans.
• Bachelor’s degree
