Are you a qualified and experienced early years professional with a passion for delivering exceptional care and education? iStep Learning is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our growing nursery team.
In this pivotal role, you’ll support the Nursery Manager in ensuring outstanding care for children aged 3 months to 5 years, and step in to oversee day-to-day operations when required. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to progress into senior leadership within a supportive, rewarding environment.
We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on leader with strong knowledge of OFSTED guidelines (both statutory and non-statutory frameworks), a love for early years learning, and the enthusiasm to create a fun, nurturing space—whether it’s leading a bear hunt, singing songs, or getting creative with messy play!
Your Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Support the Nursery Manager with the smooth running of the nursery, maintaining excellence in care and education.
- Team Support: Lead, coach, and inspire a team of practitioners to create a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure full adherence to OFSTED requirements, safeguarding protocols, and health & safety regulations.
- Parent Partnerships: Build strong relationships with parents and carers, communicating regularly and responding to any concerns with professionalism.
- Child Development: Help plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences tailored to each child’s needs.
