  • Analyze workflow and participate in layout or workstation improvements as needed.

Technical Documentation

  • Create engineering drawings, models, and specifications for tooling and production support equipment.
  • Assist with updating SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation for new fixtures or process changes.
  • Support engineering change processes as required.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with R&D, Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams to ensure all tooling and engineering solutions meet operational needs.
  • Support training for production personnel on new tools, jigs, fixtures, or updated processes.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering OR equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience.
  • 2 years of experience in a mechanical/manufacturing engineering role or strong internship practical background.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tooling, fabrication, or assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and shop prints.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in metal fabrication (welding, forming, tube bending, sheet metal).
  • Experience designing jigs and fixtures for welding or mechanical assembly.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or 5S principles.
  • Experience in build-to-order or mixed-model manufacturing environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to spend extended periods on a manufacturing/production floor.
