PURPOSE
Supervises, assists and coaches a department of 20-30 employees in the timely production of the highest quality products. Fills in for employees while on break and ensures equipment is running properly.

- Lead the Bites department through a multi-year period of substantial growth, commissioning new equipment, including adding multiple shifts, to maximize productivity, yield, and quality while decreasing product cost.
- Build lean/continuous improvement culture supported by data analysis/insights and lead continuous improvement efforts designed to assist accomplishing above goal.
- Collaborate with Production Manager to ensure customer demand is satisfied while simultaneously minimizing finished goods inventory levels.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Manager to ensure raw material availability to support planned production while simultaneously minimizing raw material inventory levels.
- Collaborate with Quality to ensure exceptional product quality and adherence to all food safety policies.
- Collaborate with Maintenance to maximize line uptime through effective coordination of preventive and reactive maintenance activities, utilizing CMMS (MaintainX) for work orders and PMs.
- Collaborate with OEMs on equipment failures and inefficiencies to ensure equipment is operating at target rate.
- Build high-performing team through hiring, directing, providing feedback, coaching/training, creating accountability, and performing staff performance reviews according to company performance management program.
- Follows all guidelines with good housekeeping measures, OSHA standards, health code regulations, Safety, GMP’s, and Food Safety Policies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful in this position.
Education, Training and/or Experience
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum 5 - 7 years’ production experience.
3. Minimum 2 - 3 years’ supervisory experience.
4. Basic knowledge of employment laws and practices and familiarity with industry common practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Associates degree, some college coursework or equivalent amount of experience in supervisory role.
2. Training or courses in “training the trainer,” communication, identifying drug use, and other fields that would aid in this role.
3. Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher
4. Familiarity with GMP’s, HACCP, & SQF
5. Experience in food manufacturing environment
