We are NOT just another IT Company, we are a specialized integrator who can bring it all together: IT Services/Support, Phone Systems, Camera Systems, Access Control, and Infrastructure Cabling. We are looking for an “A” player to join our TEAM in Tullahoma, TN supporting customers throughout the Nashville, Chattanooga, and Huntsville Areas.
Position Objective: This is an estimator role where you will be required to prepare accurate data and cost analysis for various building Infrastructure needs such as Low Voltage Cabling (Copper and Fiber), Camera Systems, Fire & Security Systems. The estimator serves as the primary point of contact for Sales to work with. The ideal candidate will have Fiber and Copper cabling installation experience as well as an analytical mindset and must be thorough and attentive in managing relationships with key persons.
Minimum Requirements:
- Pass a Background Check/Security Clearance (NO felony convictions)
- Pass a Drug Test
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean record
- 2-3 Years of Technical Skills, Qualities, and Experience (listed below)
Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Reviewing proposal opportunities and bids and to confirm “Go” or “No Go”
Maintain log of client proposals, bids, submissions, and pipeline for potential projects.
Meet bid schedules and deadlines, working within a very strict timeframe.
Able to compile RFI responses in order to successfully gain the necessary information to propose an accurate quote
Determine key variables for cost and other estimates; provide clear and comprehensive estimates.
Generate comprehensive project description and scope of work.
Review construction plans, perform take-offs and review material specifications to compose BOM’s and bid responses
Ability to attend project walk throughs to survey site conditions and prepare reports for internal review / estimate preparation
Compose a bill of materials for each project to obtain pricing from Manufacturers and Distributors
Propose necessary structured cabling solutions based on customers’ SPECIFIC requirements
Ability to work closely with Sales, Finance and Procurement to ensure proposals align with organizational standards
Troubleshoot with all project team members during the project to ensure work meets expectations of the design and scope of work.
Skill set
Superior organizational skills
MUST be able to read and understand blueprints
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Microsoft Excel)
Strong verbal and written communication
Minimum of 3 years Structured Cabling Estimating experience
Demonstrated knowledge of cabling standards and components
Skillful in writing a detailed scope of work for client presentation
AV experience a plus but not a requirement
Ability to multitask!
