What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker - II Blending position at iSpice Foods?
Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and reliable Production Workers to join our dynamic team in the Cortland, NY, facility. As a Production Worker II – Blending, you will work under the direct supervision of your supervisor and team leader. Using mechanical and manual means, you will be taking a team-based approach to moving raw material and packaging, from and within a department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Setting up, monitoring, and operating various machines like mills, grinders, sifters, and mixers.
· Carefully adhering to blend formulas to ensure product consistency and quality.
· Performing checks on spice quality, monitoring consistency, and adhering to strict food safety and hygiene protocols.
· Maintaining accurate production data and inventory levels.
· Moving raw materials, parts, and finished products within the facility. This may involve using equipment like forklifts, hand trucks, or manual
· Use of an RF Scanner gun to perform inventory movements.
· Providing support to machine operators by loading materials, removing finished products, and performing basic machine adjustments.
· Assembling components of products, either manually or using basic tools.
· The ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods is essential
· Understanding measurements and performing basic calculations may be necessary for tasks like measuring materials or counting products.
· The ability to work effectively as part of a team is crucial.
· Accuracy and attention to detail are important for quality control and assembly tasks.
· Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is crucial in a manufacturing environment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot blending equipment.
· Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the day.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Results-focused with the ability to self-motivate and work under limited supervision.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively and accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships in a diverse team-based environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use logical thinking and independent judgment to solve problems.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
