A Day in the Life of a CNC Operator
As a CNC Operator, you’ll run 3-axis CNC routers to fabricate precision parts for premium kitchen products. Your work ensures each product meets the highest standards of quality and durability, helping our client continue to deliver innovative, American-made kitchen tools worldwide. You’ll collaborate with programmers and team members to troubleshoot issues, optimize production, and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
Responsibilities include:
- Read work orders and run pre-determined files with correct tooling and jigs
- Set up and operate 3-axis high-speed CNC routers
- Select, maintain, and sharpen cutting tools
- Enter tool offsets into Fanuc controls
- Inspect machined products and document results
- Collaborate with CNC programmers to diagnose and eliminate defective parts or machine downtime
- Position and secure workpieces on machine beds or fixtures
- Operate forklift to stage material near CNC worktables
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with special projects as requested
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience using AutoCAD specifically for 2D programming
- Familiarity and understanding of CNC operations with G-code and M-code
- Ability to work the day shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Positive attitude and strong focus on detail
- Good communication skills with team members and supervisors
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, kneel, climb, lift, and perform other repetitive motions associated with loading/unloading material
