ISN is seeking a Research Analyst Team Lead, who will be assigned to a client site in Winchester, VA or Clarksburg, WV. As a Team Lead, you will assist a federal agency in conducting investigation case information and preparing relevant reports based on information gleaned using your critical and analytical skills. Your skills will be used to author reports that federal agencies can use to determine an applicant’s worthiness for employment, access to federal facilities, and immigration benefit. Ultimately, you will be supporting programs within the United States and its defense against foreign and domestic threats to our nation’s security.
Qualifications:
- Understand and have experience in doing the responsibilities of a Research Analyst.
- Bachelor's degree or three (3) or more years of experience with knowledge of administrative principles, practices, and techniques
- Proficient computer skills, proficiency in navigating Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Google Chrome
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
Job Responsibilities:
- Experience in reviewing and validating the work of junior Research Analysts, ensuring the quality and accuracy of reports, findings, and conclusions.
- Lead and manage a team of analysts, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
- Facilitate ongoing mentoring programs to enhance team skills and knowledge in analytical methodologies and tools, foster professional growth, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Allocate tasks effectively among team members, balancing workloads to meet deadlines.
- Conduct thorough review of team members’ searches and analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform a review of response packages before government quality assurance reviews, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ensure all vetting activities conducted by team members comply with relevant laws, regulations, and agency policies, including data protection and security protocols.
- When a Team Lead’s regular workload allows, they will complete vetting requests in line with the roles and responsibilities of a Research Analyst.
- Experience with derogatory information assessments, background checks, and vetting processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high-volume workloads while maintaining high standards of performance and adherence to timelines.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide, coach, and develop junior Research Analysts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies or errors in research findings and report packages.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback for team members.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex information to both team members and management.
- Problem solving skills to address and resolve issues in research findings, processes, or team performance.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive or classified information in accordance with applicable security regulations and policies.
- Assist with all project activities, both administrative and programmatic.
- Work independently under direction or in a team to collect, analyze, and present data from structured research and evaluation activities.
- Provide technical guidance in the completion of contract deliverables.
- Monitor metric and quality performance of Research Analysts for contract deliverables.
- Ensure the policies set forth in the various Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
- Contribute to Monthly status reports for the COR and/or CO under the guidance of the PM and/or DPM.
